Top practice sources in one location along with expanded content and improved search and customer experience help users save time and work with greater confidence

May 27, 2015 — NEW YORK - LexisNexis® Legal & Professional today announced new tools and significant enhancements for its legal information service, Lexis Advance®. Practitioners across various specialties will now be able to take advantage of new Lexis Advance® Practice Pages, which bring together workflow solutions, authoritative legal and news sources, analysis and insights that are most relevant to their practice area or jurisdiction. These centralized resources deliver one-click access to the most trusted practice area assets along with additional content and tools across LexisNexis® so that legal professionals can be confident in their strategies and develop a robust course of action.

With the newest release of Lexis Advance, the company also rolled out product enhancements, including expanded content and functionality, improved search, browse and delivery capabilities as well as an optimized user experience for mobile and desktop users. Additionally, the company announced a new resource for tax professionals: Lexis Advance® Tax.

“Lexis Advance Tax and the new Lexis Advance practice area and jurisdictional pages put the most relevant, trusted content for specific areas of legal work at practitioners' fingertips, so they can cut right to the chase,” said Jeff Pfeifer, vice president, Lexis Advance at LexisNexis. “This is just one facet of the way legal practitioners can use Lexis Advance to conduct research and handle matters in faster and more efficient ways.”

Lexis Advance Practice Pages

The new jurisdictional and practice area pages bring together workflow solutions, deep authoritative sources across the full breadth of its partners and LexisNexis® services—all on the first screen a practitioner sees. Organized by experienced legal editors and developed in coordination with our Large Law Librarian Board, they offer quick access to on-point statutes and case law, the most noted authorities, trusted industry news and analytical tools.

For example, with the Banking and Financial Services Practice Page, practitioners and financial services professionals get easy access to pertinent information needed to monitor the state of banking law, navigate complex banking regulation, plan effective litigation strategies, and jump-start drafting. The page encompasses a broad portfolio of treatises and compliance guides from LexisNexis® A.S. Pratt and LexisNexis® Sheshunoff, along with forms, checklists and sample policies. Analysis and commentary on breaking banking law and financial industry news from Law360®, Mealey’s™ and premier publications such as American Banker®, The Wall Street Journal® and The New York Times® provide practitioners with current insights from exclusive resources.

The New York Practice Page provides authoritative LexisNexis resources, coupled with expertise from veteran authors and legal editors, who specialize in New York law. The page offers authoritative analysis and insights from more than 60 New York-specific treatises, including Matthew Bender® publications, unpublished New York case law opinions, fully annotated New York Code, court rules and municipal codes, as well as access to New York news sources such as The New York Times and analysis and commentary from Law360.

The Lexis Advance Practice Pages are being rolled out sequentially. Practice pages for Banking and Financial Services, and Energy, and jurisdictional pages for New York, Florida, and Texas were published as of the date of this release. Additional Practice Pages will be added over the course of the next few months, including Labor & Employment, California, Securities, Healthcare, Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate and Native American.

Additional product details may be found in the Lexis Advance Practice Pages brochure.

Lexis Advance Tax

LexisNexis also announced a new practice resource for accounting and estate-planning professionals—Lexis Advance Tax. The new resource for accountants, lawyers and other tax professionals provides a unique combination of just about 1,400 authoritative tax, accounting and estate planning sources.

Designed by tax professionals for tax professionals, Lexis Advance Tax facilitates quick and easy search, fine-tuning, analysis and sharing of relevant insights, drawing from facts and analysis from premier sources such as Tax Analysts®, Matthew Bender® and LexisNexis primary law sources. The tool also includes Shepard’s® validation, and customers can upgrade and add CCH® and Law360 sources. A fixed subscription price allows researchers to stay focused on the work, eliminating concerns about transactional costs.
