Age Discrimination Claims Against Colorado County Survive Summary Judgment

DENVER - A woman who worked for a county in Colorado for more than 30 years submitted sufficient evidence, including an "age spreadsheet" created by the county, showing that age may have been a determining factor in the county not allowing her to apply for a promotion and then terminating her employment, a Colorado federal judge held April 5 in denying summary judgment to the county on the woman's discrimination claims (Cindy Enos-Martinez v. Board of County Commissioners of the County of Mesa, No. 10-cv-00033, D. Col.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 48096).
