Opening and Closing the Presentation Window

Sanction provides many mechanisms for opening and closing the Presentation window.

There are several methods you can use to open a presentation from the main program window.

Method

Steps

Open the presentation window directly.
•On the HOME tab, in the Present group, click Presentation.

The presentation window opens with no item displaying.

You can configure the presentation window to load the first item when the presentation is started instead of opening to a blank screen. For more information, see: Setting Presentation Options.

Open the presentation window by selecting an item.
•On the HOME tab, in the Present group, click Show Item.

The presentation opens with the selected item displaying.

Note that if the item was not already a part of the presentation, the item is automatically added to the end of the presentation.

 

Switch to the currently active presentation by selecting an item from the main program window.
1.On the HOME tab, click the Exhibits, Media, or Transcripts navigation bar.
2.Select the item you want to present.
3.In the Present area, click Show Item.

The item opens in the currently active presentation and is added to that presentation. If no presentation is currently active, the item is shown in, and is added to the Default presentation.

•On the presentation tool bar, click the presentation selection button, and then click the presentation you want to open.

Do one of the following:

•Click the presentation selection button,  located at the left corner of the presentation taskbar, and then click Exit.

•If an image is loaded in the presentation window, then right-click a section of the presentation window to the left or right of the image and then click Exit.
•If media is loaded in the presentation window, then right-click anywhere in the presentation window and then click Exit.
•Press Shift + Escape.
