HERNDON, Va. - Welter Law Firm P.C. has established its first Texas office in Austin to offer the state's employers its employment litigation and counseling services. Based in the Washington area, the firm appointed Michael Wilson Stoker as resident attorney to work with Eric Welter on employment law and business litigation matters in Texas. The firm now has offices in Austin, Northern Virginia and Los Angeles.
Stoker joined the Welter Law Firm in 2006. He specializes in all areas of employment litigation with particular emphasis on defending employers before federal and state courts, as well as with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and similar state and local agencies. He also provides preventive counseling and training regarding employer policies and procedures. Additionally, he has experience assisting government contractors with all aspects of affirmative action compliance including developing and maintaining affirmative action plans and defending employers in OFCCP desk and onsite audits.
