Description
This CLE is designed to cover major business concerns that have come into focus as a result of the recent COVID-19 outbreak. It will focus on the relevant legislative, administrative, and practical considerations that companies need to be aware of when dealing with the risks that have crystalized as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. We will first begin by taking an overall look at the maze of governmental mandates, from the various levels of government, that influence how a company must respond in the case of a crises.
We will then divide our review into two parts regarding the practical application of how these statutes affect company’s day to day operation. In the first part we will look at items that must be considered for employees. Second we will consider how a company maintains its operation and business continuation if it is required to operate without its traditional real world foot print and must operate digitally or with social distancing procedures in place.
Finally we will review what occurs if a company cannot maintain its current level of operation and must resort to drastic measures to salvage its business model, or liquidate because it is no longer a profitable endeavor.
