This session will provide an overview of why FLPs have become prevalent with so many clients and will the historical “pitch” versus the “fine print” for this structure, as well as the numerous IRS challenges under constantly evolving theories. Further, this session will help provide an understanding as to how to be proactive in assessing the “health” of a client’s FLP while a parent is still alive and considerations for fortification of the FLP.
