This CLE provides an overview of the primary and emerging legal issues relating to artificial intelligence (AI)’s impact on certain areas of legal practice. Issues addressed include those involving general commercial contracts, products liability, labor and employment, intellectual property (IP), privacy and data security. We will focus on key issues that attorneys and businesses should consider in areas where AI technology is germane. After completing this course, you will be able to: (these are currently CLE reminders) • Define key AI terminology. • Understand AI’s potential impact on particular practice areas including Contracts, Products Liability, Labor & Employment, Intellectual Property and Privacy & Data Security. • Review recent caselaw/statutes/regulations as it relates to AI and the above practice areas.
