LexisNexis legal research, Martindale-Hubbell, CaseMap, Lawyers.com and Firm Manager solutions rated tops by readers of one of the nation’s most respected legal periodicals

March 25, 2013 — NEW YORK, LexisNexis® Legal & Professional announced today that its legal technology solutions have won top ratings in six categories and recognition in 11 categories overall in the recently released results of the “2013 Best of the National Law Journal” reader survey.

Based on responses to the publication’s second annual industry survey, National Law Journal readers ranked LexisNexis in first place in the category for “Online Legal Research Vendor.” Lexis Advance® is the primary online legal research solution from LexisNexis, helping transform the way legal professionals conduct research and providing attorneys with the essential information, workflow and analytical tools they require. Recognition from National Law Journal readers follows accolades earned earlier this year by LexisNexis legal research with Lexis Advance winning the prestigious 2013 CODiE Award for “Best Legal Information Solution.”

Additionally, Martindale-Hubbell® and Lawyers.com shared top honors in the National Law Journal survey in the “Integrated Law Firm Marketing” category. Martindale-Hubbell® helps law firms and solo practitioners enhance their online presence and drive more prospects to their firm. Services offered include website design and development, search engine optimization, blogs and social media, video production, robust profiles on leading legal sites Lawyers.com and martindale.com®, and Martindale-Hubbell® Lawyer Ratings. With 34 million unique visitors annually, Lawyers.com is a top-cited online legal resource that provides consumers and small business professionals the information they need to learn about the law, ask questions – get answers, read timely legal articles and find the right legal team for their legal issue.

LexisNexis® CaseMap® captured top billing in both the “Case Management” and “Matter Management” categories. CaseMap fact and issue management software helps litigation teams bring together the relevant facts, documents, cast of characters and issues of each case—as well as legal and investigative research—into a centralized repository for improved case assessment.

And, LexisNexis® Firm Manager® earned first place rankings in both the “Practice Management in the Cloud” and the “Calendaring Solution” categories. LexisNexis Firm Manager is an online legal practice management application created specifically for solo practitioners and small law practices. The software is designed to meet the needs and budgets of solo and small law firms, helping to keep law practices organized and on task – from any location at any time.

LexisNexis solutions were also rated highly in other categories of the National Law Journal survey with five second place finishes, including:

According to the National Law Journal, nearly 5,000 readers cast votes via an online ballot for their favorites across 70 categories and only legitimate end-users from the U.S. legal community such as attorneys, law students, paralegals, and legal assistants were allowed to vote. Results were published in an insert to the March 25 edition of the National Law Journal.
