California Federal Judge Certifies Class Of Protesters Suing Over Mass Arrest

SAN FRANCISCO - A California federal judge on March 23 certified a class of people suing the City of Oakland, County of Alameda and law enforcement officials over a mass arrest of protesters in 2010 after the sentencing of a police officer who killed an unarmed person (Daniel Spalding, et al. v. City of Oakland, et al.,  No. 11-2867, N.D. Calif.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 40162).
