Scholarship Winners to Weigh in on the Media, Millennials and Election 2016

Posted on 08-19-2016 by Kari Abitbol

Earlier this year, Pew Research announced, “Millennials, who already have surpassed Baby Boomers as the United States’ largest living generation, now have caught up to the Boomers when it comes to their share of the American electorate.” Of course, the statement also came with a question, “… but will they vote?” We were curious too, so this summer we invited local Wright State University junior and senior students of communication studies, mass communications, English language, marketing or political science to apply for two LexisNexis® Election 2016 scholarships. Now, two recipients have been selected: Congratulations to Courtney Resnicky and Brandon Teeple.

Courtney and Brandon, using our fact-finding and media-monitoring databases, will contribute a few Biz Blog posts with their unique insights into the millennial election experience—from the issues being discussed on campus to the role Ohio may play in the election. Stay tuned to see what they will bring to the Election 2016 conversation!
