Divided Federal Circuit Affirms Invalidity Holding

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A Wisconsin federal judge did not err in granting a defendant's post-trial motion for judgment as a matter of law (JMOL) that certain claims of a modified enzyme patent are invalid, a divided Federal Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled July 22 (Novozymes A/S v. DuPont Nutrition Biosciences APS, No. 12-1433, Fed. Cir.).
