Mealey's Insurance - Judge: Damage Was Caused By Single 'Occurrence' For Purposes Of Insurance

PORTLAND, Ore. - Alleged property damage to a condominium complex was caused by a single "occurrence," an Oregon federal judge found Aug. 12 in a coverage dispute between two insurers who defended and settled an underlying construction defects case against mutual insureds (Chartis Specialty Insurance Co. f/k/a American International Specialty Lines Insurance Co. v. American Contractors Insurance Company Risk Retention Group, et al., No. 13-01669, D. Ore.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 110968).
