Librarian Relations Consultant Research Tip: Search archived codes with the Archive pod directly from the Lexis Advance® home page

You are probably aware that you can link to archived versions of statutes when viewing the current version. Here’s an example:

But sometimes you need to search the entire archive or find laws that have been superseded or repealed. You will find the Archives pod on the Lexis Advance landing page. This pod may be in a different spot on your screen, but you can move the pods around into an arrangement that works for you:

Click on Archived Code Search and you will find a search screen:

To see coverage dates, just click on the i and a pop-up will appear with the details:

When you are searching the archived codes, you can limit your search to the categories, dates or jurisdictions presented in the search screen, or you can simply enter your keywords and search. You will be presented with filters in your results list, which will allow you to narrow your search. And note the date of the documents on the right-hand side of the screen in the results list:

Archived versions will include links back to the current version as well as other archived versions:
